Tyson Gay earned his first 100-meter dash win over Usain Bolt during the DN Galan meeting at the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm.

The world record holder ran a solid time of 9.84 seconds, but it was not enough to topple Gay. The American won the contest in a time of 9.84 seconds.

Bolt’s last defeat was also in Stockholm in 2008, when he lost to fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell.

Richard Thompson finished third at 10.10 seconds.
