Drew Brees is the biggest winner in the ESPY Awards, gathering four trophies, including the male athlete of the year.

The quarterback of the New Orleans Saints also won in the following categories: best championship performance, NFL player, and shared a team award with his teammates.

Lindsay Vonn, the skiier, won the female athlete of the year award. She also won the best female Olympian award.

The awards show was hosted by Seth Meyers, a comic from SNL, and broadcasted live on ESPN from the Nokia Theater.

Landon Donovan, from the US national soccer team, collected three awards: best moment in World Cup, best MLS player, and the performance under pressure award.
