Roddick ousted in Cincinnati tourney E-mail

Andy Roddick was the victim of an early exit in the Western & Southern Open on Monday, falling to Philipp Kohlschreiber.

Kohlschreiber rallied after losing the first set to score a 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 6-1 win over the 11th seeded Roddick at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Cincinnati.

The American won the tournament in 2003 and 2006, and was first runner-up in 2005.

In other contests, Frenchman Richard Gasquet won over Ukraine’s Alexander Dolgopolov, while Fabio Fognini earned an upset win over Viktor Troicki.

Some of the other day one winners include: David Nalbandian, Alex Bogomolov Jr., Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez.
