Novak Djokovic advanced to the US Open semis last Thursday, while Rafael Nadal recorded a fourth-round victory.

Djokovic advanced after Janko Tipsarevic was forced to quit due to a leg injury. Djokovic now sets up an anticipated match with Roger Federer, who defeated Jo-Wilfred Tsonga to advance.

Federer and Djokovic have met 23 times with Federer taking 14 of those matchups.

Other fourth round winners for the day included Nadal, Andy Murray, Andy Roddick, and John Isner.

Nadal ousted Gilles Muller; Murray downed Donald Young, Roddick eliminated David Ferrer; and Isner had a close win against Gilles Simon.
