Top-seeded Andy Murray bounced back from a lost set on Thursday, defeating Tim Smyczek to advance to the quarterfinals of the Los Angeles Tennis Open.

The Scottish player posted a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 victory, moving him to the next round where he will face Alejandro Falla.

Falla won over number five seeded Ernests Gulbis in one of the tournaments biggest upset victories.

Other second round winners include Feliciano Lopez and James Blake—both will also meet in the quarterfinals.
