Bayern Munich have made it clear that Owen Hargreaves will not be sold to Manchester United in the January transfer window by rejecting a £20 million bid made by the Premiership leaders, but asked United to "come back in summer".
Last night, the England midfielder revealed that United have made another official bid, however Munich has rejected the bid saying that they will not be allowing Hargreaves to move in the January window. "It's been official today that Manchester United have made an offer for me. For a club like Man United to make an offer is something I appreciate. I can't really do much, it's not on my side. That's down to the club really. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks and possibly months", Hargreaves said.
However Bayern director-general Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that selling Hargreaves in January was "out of the question" adding, "We will see this summer how things work out". Meanwhile Hargreaves is in full praise of United saying that they are a talented team.
"Manchester United have developed into such a talented team. They have got such a great nucleus when you look at Rio (Ferdinand) and Wazza (Wayne Rooney), and Cristiano Ronaldo is probably one of the best players in Europe at the moment", Hargreaves added.
Meanwhile Hargreaves, who has been out of action since September with a broken leg, said that his main aim now should be to bounce back from the injury. "The most important thing for me now is to come back healthy and playing strong. I've been out for a few months and am looking forward to getting back into the rhythm of playing again and representing England", he said.
