Former Porto boss Jose Mourinho's Chelsea will face Porto in
the knockout stage of UEFA Champions League. The draw revealed on Friday pitted
defending champs Barcelona against Liverpool, while Manchester United drew
Lille.
Chelsea's Dutch winger Arjen Robben said that Mourinho would
be relishing the prospect of facing his former team. "Of course there is a
special feeling for the manager, and also for Ricardo (Carvalho) and Paulo
Ferreira. For them it's a special game. It will give them that extra bit of
pleasure to beat them," he said, adding that they could very well have had
a tougher draw.
Mourinho meanwhile said that he respected Porto. "Porto
is a team with tradition in European football and is a team with ambition so
they deserve respect from us and they will have it," he said.
In other match-ups, nine-time European champions Real Madrid
face off against Bayern Munich. Scottish team Celtic drew AC Milan in what is a
tough draw for them. The final match is between Inter Milan and Valencia.
Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson looked forward to the
tie and said his team has changed from last year when they were knocked out in
the first round. "It is an emerging team, which is getting better all the time.
We know it will be a difficult tie but we have improved so much from last
season," he told the club website.
The other English team Arsenal, who were runners-up last
year, will face PSV Eindhoven, while Roma drew Lyon.
