French Minister of Sport Chantal Jouanno expressed his disinterest in having France World Cup Captain Patrice Evra put back into the game after an episode of revolt in South Africa. Evra played a big role in causing the revolt earning him a ban which he has duly served. Now, Evra is up for selection in the lineup against Brazil set to happen on the 9th of this month at Stade de France.

In an interview with French daily L'Equipe, Jouanno says "I can't understand the suggestion that leaders of the revolt in South Africa could get reintegrated. Regardless of their qualities, to bring them back would be unacceptable."

Evra is one of a quadruple of the French national team's players that got banned for boycotting a training session in the World Cup during the Finals. They were supporting Nicolas Anelka, the striker who had been sent home in the event for maligning their former coach Raymond Domenech.
