David Beckham says that he has resolved issues with Los Angeles Galaxy teammate Landon Donovan.
The English footballer says that he has had a productive conversation with Donovan that eliminated all their issues. Beckham returned to practice with the LA Galaxy last
Monday after a 5-month stint with the Italian club AC Milan. Since his arrival, he has been hit by question’s concerning Donovan’s feedback to Beckham as a captain. Reports say that Donovan portrayed Beckham as a bad captain in an upcoming book.
Beckham said that their conversation went well and its details will remain private.
“I'm not going to talk about what was said,” commented the 34-year-old. “That was between me, Landon and the manager [Bruce Arena]. I said the other day everything that was needed to say.”
Last Saturday, Beckham called Donovan’s behavior “unprofessional.”
Beckham will play his first game of the season when the Galaxy face off with the Red Bulls at the Giants Stadium on Thursday.
“We're getting past it, we're moving on,” claimed Donovan in a related interview. “There's a lot of things I regret. I regret the way that I went about this process and I also regret some of the things I said.”
