Italian giants AC Milan today confirmed that they have made an offer for Real Madrid's Brazilian striker Ronaldo. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told the club's Web site (www.acmilan.com) that the deal depended on Ronaldo passing a medical examination.
Galliani did not offer any date as to when Ronaldo would undergo the medical tests. "We are making an offer for Ronaldo, we are negotiating. Let's see what happens," he said. "Everything, then, will depend on the results of the medical. There are still a lot of things to do."
Reports in Italian media say that Ronaldo may fly in on Thursday for the medical. Galliani also said that Ronaldo may be on hand to watch AC Milan take on AS Roma in the Italian Cup semi-final at San Siro.
Ronaldo has had a tough time at Real in the past couple of years. With the arrival of Fabio Capello as Real's new manager, he has hardly seen any action. And his future looked in jeopardy when he was told that he did not figure in the club's future plans.
If he does join Milan, Ronaldo will be back in Italy where he represented Inter Milan between 1997 and 2002.
