Patrick Marleau scored two goals and Dany Heatley had two assists to lead San Jose 5-2 over Ottawa.

San Jose also had goals from Jamie McGinn, Manny Malhotra, and Ryan Clow to record the team’s fifth win in the last six games.

Milan Michalek scored two goals for the Senators, while Brian Elliot allowed only four goals on 32 shots. 

Marleau, who played in his 900th NHL game, scored the first goal of the game during the opening minutes of the first quarter. McGinn added a goal with less than minute left to put the Sharks ahead 2-0.

Thomas Griess had 25 saves for San Jose.
