The Nashville Predators have acquired defenseman Denis Grebeshkov in a trade agreement with the Edmonton Oilers, according to team officials last Monday.

In exchange for Grebeshkov, the Predators sent a second-round draft pick to the Oilers.

The 26-year-old Russian had a great season with the Oilers last season. He registered career highs in several stat segments, including goals and points.

Grebeshkov was the 18th overall pick of the Kings in the 2002 draft.
