Last Tuesday, the Phoenix Coyotes signed veteran center Robert Lang to a one-year contract.

As of press time, the terms of the contract were left undisclosed. However, the team manager—Don Maloney—was more than happy to add Lang to the roster.

“We are very pleased to have signed Robert Lang,” commented Maloney in a press statement. He continued: “He provides another veteran presence for our team and is a proven scorer in the National Hockey League.”

Last season, Lang scored 18 goals and passed 21 assists in 50 games for the Montreal Canadiens. In his impressive career, the 38-year-old has already tallied 252 goals and 422 assists in over 920 games. He has played for Los Angeles, Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, Detroit, and Chicago.

The native of Teplice, Czech Republic was originally selected by Los Angeles in the seventh round of the 1990 draft.
