Pavel Datsyuk became the first pick of the NHL All-Star Game on Thursday.

For the second year, NHL’s All-Star showcase will feature teams that have been selected by two league-appointed captains: Zdeno Chara and Daniel Alfredsson.

Chara won the flip, allowing him the first draft pick. Alfredsson then picked Erick Karlsson.

Chara then selected Tim Thomas, Evgeni Malkin, Marian Hossa, and Kimmo Timonen. Alfredsson followed with Jason Spezza, Jonathan Quick, Claude Giroux, and Kris Letang.

Steven Stamkos was also picked by Alfredsson.

The face off will take place on Sunday.
