Mike Davis only allowed one goal, while Radim Vrbata scored twice to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a 4-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.

The Coyotes earned their third straight win behind the performance of Davis, who has averaged only allowing two goals since the season opener.

The only goal against Davis came from Ryan O’ Reilly with a little over a minute left in the second period.

Lauri Korpikoski gave Phoenix extra padding by scoring a goal in the opening seconds of the third period. As the third ended, Vrabata scored to give the Coyotes a bigger lead.

Semyon Varlamov took the loss, stopping 24-of-27 shots.
