Calgary Flames defeat Los Angeles Kings E-mail

Olli Jokinen and Mike Cammalleri scored a couple of shootout goals on Thursday to lead the Calgary Flames passed the Los Angeles Kings, 2-1.

With the win, the Flames broke a two-game losing skid. They came from behind in both regulation and the shootout.

Dustin Brown scored the first goal for Los Angeles in the first quarter. In the second period, Jarome Iginla  tied the game during the power play.

At the shootout, Justin Williams scored the first goal and Jokinen responded with his own goal. Cammalleri scored in the second round, giving Calgary the advantage. After that, goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff successfully stopped Jack Johnson and Mike Richards to earn the win for the Flames.

Kiprusoff made 31 saves, while Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots for the Kings.
