The Chicago Bears released veteran cornerback Nathan Vasher last Wednesday.
The 28-year-old was amid a contract extension that ran from 2007-2012.
However, his performance in recent years has been below standards. To be fair, Vasher was hampered by numerous injuries. In 2009, he started in only two contests, which was a career low for him.
His best year with Chicago was 2005, when he for the Pro Bowl as he went for eight interceptions in 16 contests. In 2006, he set an NFL record for the longest play in league history as he returned a missed field goal of 108 yards for a touchdown.
