Through his Twitter account, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hinted on the return of Peyton Manning by the end of the year.

The absence of Manning, who is recovering from a neck surgery, has led to an eight-game losing streak for the Colts to start the season.

Currently, the legendary quarterback is still part of the active roster, which allows him to practice with the team.

In a recent Twitter post, Irsay said: “8 weeks til xmas, less than 100 days til Super Bowl Peyton's healing well, maybe he'll take a snap b4 the ball falls in NYC, New Year's Eve!”

The 35-year-old Manning has been with Indianapolis since the team drafted him in 1998. Through these years, he has led the colts to two Super Bowls. He has also won the NFL Most Valuable Player four times, a record in the league.
