Kicker Jason Elam will sign a one-day contract with the Denver Broncos, which will allow him to retire with the team that he played most for during his career.

Elam played a total of 15 seasons with Denver from 1993 to 2007. He currently shares the NFL record for the longest field goal with Tom Dempsey. He tied the record in 1998, when he scored a 63-yard field goal.

Elam signed for two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before being waived by the franchise.
