Bart Scott has signed a six-year contract with the New York Jets.

Bart Scott has officially left the Baltimore Ravens as he has signed a 6-year contract with his new team, the New York Jets.

The deal, which amounts to $48 million, includes $22 million in guaranteed money.

Scott joins former Ravens’ defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, who has recently been signed by the jets as head coach.

Earlier today, Scott was offered $40 million by the Jets and the Ravens had a counter-offer. During the swings, the Ravens managed to put in a higher bid for the prized line backer.

Ravens were left with no choice, but to let him go. The team is saving salary space to re-sign another free agent line backer, Ray Lewis.
