Devin Harris scored 19 of his 42 points in the fourth quarter and carried the Nets at home for the second straight game in a 111-99 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
The dazzling performance came two days after Harris scored 39 points and hit a buzzer-beating halfcourt shot for a win against Philadelphia.
Harris made 7 of 9 shots from the field in the final quarter to boost the Nets’ playoff hopes and hand Chicago only its fifth loss in 13 games.
“Now is the time,” Harris said after the Nets (26-32) pulled into a tie with Chicago for ninth place in the Eastern Conference, a game behind Milwaukee. “We really can’t wait anymore. We can’t be patient.”
SPURS 99, TRAIL BLAZERS 84 With Tim Duncan sidelined for the second straight game with a leg injury, Tony Parker scored 39 points and host San Antonio beat Portland for the 11th consecutive time.
HORNETS 90, PISTONS 87 David West scored 30 points and grabbed two key offensive rebounds on New Orleans’s final possession, helping the Hornets hold off the visiting Pistons.
With the Hornets protecting an 88-87 lead, Chris Paul missed two runners in the lane, but West tipped the first rebound to himself and grabbed the second one. He made two free throws after being fouled with 6.7 seconds left.
JAZZ 120, TIMBERWOLVES 103 In his second game back after missing the previous 44 with a knee injury, Carlos Boozer had 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting in 21 minutes for visiting Utah.
MAVERICKS 116, BUCKS 96 Josh Howard scored 27 points and host Dallas avenged its worst loss of the season. The Bucks beat the Mavericks by 34 points on Jan. 21 and led by 15-7 on Wednesday. Dallas Coach Rick Carlisle called a timeout and the Mavericks responded with a 16-0 run.
76ERS 106, WIZARDS 98 Andre Iguodala scored 22 points, including a flying dunk and a buzzer-beating 3-pointer during a third-quarter spurt, as visiting Philadelphia ended a four-game losing streak. Iguodala also had 11 assists and 9 rebounds.
PACERS 104, GRIZZLIES 99 T. J. Ford and Jarrett Jack each scored 20 points, and host Indiana held on despite committing 20 turnovers and allowing Memphis to shoot 49 percent.
