One of the most anticipated boxing matches of the decade will take place next year. Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are set to duel in March, as confirmed by news distributors last Friday.
The dream match is scheduled to take place on March 13 at a undetermined venue.
While sources close to the deal have confirmed the match, its financial terms remain undisclosed. The indication is that both fighters will split the revenue at 50% each.
Pacquiao, who recently defeated Miguel Cotto via TKO, has won titles on several weight division, including 112, 122, 130, 135, and 140.
Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, confirmed the pending fight. He said, “I had a meeting (Friday) morning and we went over all the points and now I have to go back to the United States and sit with the Mayweather people and finalize some very minor aspects.”
The fight is already anticipated to become one for the record books.

Kobe Bryant nailed a three-pointer to cap an amazing comeback by the Los Angeles Laker last Friday over the Miami Heat, 108-107.
The Lakers were trailing by four points with four seconds remaining. The possession changed hands and Derek Fisher made a three-point basket with 3.9 seconds remaining. Dwayne Wade was fouled and he converted on one of two free throws.
The Lakers then called a timeout and designed a play for Bryant. And the reigning NBA finals MVP did not disappoint as he threw up a forced three-point attempt. The shot hit the backboard and went in the basket.
Bryant scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, and 33 for the whole game. Pau Gasol made 22 for the Lakers who avoided losing for the third time at home.
Miami was led by Dwayne Wade, who had 26 points.
