Amare Stoudemire lead the Phoenix Suns with 21 points to earn a win over the New Orleans Hornets last Wednesday.

The win marked the Suns’ fourth straight, improving their record to 8-1, which ties them with Boston for the best record in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The Suns came out of the locker room on fire as they scored 40 points in the first quarter and they never looked back. Phoenix shot an impressive 55 percent from the field and converted on 13 three point shots.

Grant Hill added 18 points, while Goran Dragic and Jason Richardson had 14 points each.

Chris Paul tried to keep the Hornets within striking distance, but failed to do so. He scored 25 points for New Orleans, who have now lost six times in their first nine games.
