Orlando Magic extend NBA series against Boston Celtics E-mail

Dwight Howard led the Orlando Magic to a 96-92 OT win over the Boston Celtics last Monday, extending the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

Howard shot an astounding 13-of-19 from the field in his 32-point, 16-rebound performance. Jameer Nelson also shot a pair of 3-point shots during the extra period, helping the Magic avoid a sweep.

Nelson scored 23 points, nine assists, and five rebounds for Orlando.

The Celtics seemed out-of-breath in the OT period as they shot a woeful 2-of-10 from the field.

Paul Pierce remained the focal point of the Boston offense with 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Ray Allen scored 22 points, including several crucial three-pointers.
