David West and Marcus Thornton each had 28 points last Monday to lead the New Orleans Hornets in a 135-131 win over the Golden State Warriors.
Rookie Darren Collison scored 16 points and dished off a career-high 20 assists. He tied Steve Nash’s record for most assists in a game this season. West had 13 boards, while Emeka Okafor contributed 22 points.
Both teams had a great shooting night with each team sporting a 59 percent clip. The main advantage of the Hornets was the rebounding. New Orleans had a 44-23 rebound advantage over the Golden State Warriors.
Anthony Morrow led the Warriors with 28 points, shooting 6-for-6 from the three-point arc. Reggie Williams also had a career-high with 28 points in the losing effort.
