All NBA fans are counting the days to the league’s annual All-Star weekend, which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona this year.

Apart from the All-Star game, the weekend will also showcase NBA talent through a variety of contests. Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard will defend his slam dunk title, while Toronto Raptors forward Jason Kapono will try to prolong his reign in the 3-point shootout. The third event—Skills Challenge—will see a new champion, because last year’s winner Deron Williams is not in the fray.

The slam dunk contest, one of the most anticipated contests during the weekend, will feature: Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies), Rudy Fernandez (Portland Trailblazers), and Nate Robinson (New York Knicks).

On the other hand, the 3-point shootout will see a list of the NBA’s premiere shooters square off. Joining the competition is: Roger Mason (San Antonio Spurs), Mike Bibby (Atlanta Hawks), Rashard Lewis (Orlando Magic), Daequan Cook (Miami Heat), and Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers).

The skills challenge, which will show the league’s top point guards work through an obstacle course, will showcase: Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs), Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls), and Devin Harris (New Jersey Nets). There will be a fourth competitor to replace injured Orlando guard Jameer Nelson, which will be announced before the start of the weekend.
