One of the Los Angeles Lakers’ off-season acquisitions has been arrested for charges of domestic violence and was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail last Wednesday.

Lakers forward Matt Barnes, a native of Sacramento, was arrested by local police in response to a 911 emergency call.

The police arrived on the scene and found Barnes with a woman that he was dating.

While both of them had injuries, it appeared that the 6-foot-7 Barnes was the aggressor. The eight-year NBA vet was also charged for maliciously obstructing the use of a telephone line.

He will be appearing in court on Monday.
