LA Clippers fail to get Chris Paul E-mail

The Los Angeles Clippers tried to sign all-star guard Chris Paul, but rejected a counter proposal.

“We entered into discussions with the New Orleans Hornets,” said Neil Olshey, VP of the LA Clippers’ basketball operations. “They proposed a trade we felt was too high for our team to accept.”

Reports say that New Orleans wanted Eric Gordon in exchange for Paul.

Recently, the NBA vetoed a trade proposal that would’ve sent Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Clippers recently won an amnesty waiver for New York Knicks guard Chauncey Billups. The team also announced that they matched a four-year offer from the Golden State Warriors for center DeAndre Jordan.
