Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points on Monday to lead the Dallas Mavericks over the Oklahoma City Thunder 100-87.

Shawn Marion and Jason Terry chipped in 17 and 15 points respectively as the defending champs handed Oklahoma its first loss of the season.

On the other hand, the Mavericks turned to their bench to bring in only their second win of the season. Vince Carter added 14 points, while Ian Mahinmi poured in 10 markers.

The Thunder, who fell to 5-1, was led by Kevin Durant with 27 points.
