Joakim Noah showed fans that how much he has improved during the offseason when he compiled 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Bulls over the Bucks 87-86 in their preseason match last Tuesday.
The three-year veteran was matched by Hakim Warrick of the Bucks, who scored 25 points.
The Bucks trailed most of the fourth quarter. But they managed to tie the game at 86 with 29 seconds left courtesy of a three-pointer from Jodie Meeks.
Jannero Pargo then made a free throw that gave the Bulls a one-point lead. With 14 seconds left, Chicago’s James Johnson muffed two free throws.
After a timeout, Bucks center Dan Gadzuric missed a tip in and the rebound went out of bounds off a Chicago player with 2.7 seconds on the clock.
The Bulls missed the services of 2008 rookie of the year Derek Rose, Tyrus Thomas, and Brad Miller.
Taj Gibson had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago and Johnson had 11 points.
The Bucks were led by Ersan Ilyasova and Michael Redd with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
