With 2 seconds left on the clock, the guard made a tie-breaking three-pointer that lifted the Boston Celtics past the Chicago Bulls 118-115. Ray Allen finished with a remarkable 30 points for the defending champs, who have now tied the series 1-1.
Not to be outshined was Chicago Bull guard Ben Gordon, who went on an offensive onslaught with a playoff career-high 42 points. Gordon tied the game with 12.3 seconds left in regulation and the whole building thought the game would go to overtime.
Boston set up a play as Rajon Rondo found Ray Allen at the right side to score the game-winning basket.
The next two games will be played in Chicago, where the Bull will try to protect home court advantage.
