The New York Mets will build a promotional campaign inspired by Lady Gaga’s recent one-fingered salute to the Mets backers.

Earlier this month, the pop star was photographed raising her middle finger to hostile Mets fans from the luxury box during a game at Citi Field. Team officials say they will mock the incident and link it in an effort to vote Mets players in the upcoming All-Star Game.

The promotion announcement took place when Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman refuted reports that Lady Gaga would be permanently banned from the arena.  

“There is a time for things like that and that wasn't it,” explained Cashman. “After a loss is the wrong time.”
