The San Francisco Giants were sparked by their two rookies on Wednesday to take a 8-5 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Justin Christian and Brett Pill piled up six hits and five RBI to lift the Dodgers. Christian went 3-for-5, driving in three runs. Pill, on the other hand, scored three hits and a couple of RBIs. The Giants have now won their eighth game over their last nine contests.

Still, San Francisco trails Atlanta by around 3 games in the wild-card chase and is still 5 ½ games back from Arizona.
