The Los Angeles Dodgers say that it has not violated any television contract stipulations concerning Fox Sports—which has sued them for sale of the team’s TV rights.

Earlier in the day, Fox asked the US Bankruptcy Court judge to block any sale of rights by Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, who contended that they had rights to Dodgers games until 2012.

In a written statement, the Dodgers urged the judge to allow them to auction of the Dodgers’ TV rights to the highest bidder. According to team reps, the sale would allow the team to rise out of bankruptcy.

Fox filed their case after the Major League Baseball announced that it will contend any television deal that left McCourt in control of the team.
