Detroit beats Texas in Game 3 of the AL Championship Series |

Doug Fister pitched until the eighth on Tuesday and was supported by three runs to lead Detroit over Texas (5-2) to take Game 3 of the AL Championship Series.
Fister picked up the win to get Detroit its first win in the series. He went for more than seven innings, allowing only two runs on seven hits. He took out three hitters and never surrendered a walk before passing the game to Joaquin Benoit and Jose Valverde.
The Tigers were also led by Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez, and Jhonny Peralta.
Colby Lewis took the loss for the Rangers, the defending American League Champions.
