Howie Kendrick gathered three hits and scored the winning run last Tuesday as the Los Angeles Angels emerged victorious over the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-3.
Bobby Abreu scored a three-run homer and Kevin Frandsen drove in two other Angels.
The win marked the Angels’ 14th in their last 19 games. It was also their fourth consecutive victory.
Kendrick broke a 3-3 deadlock in the seventh inning by sending a single through the right side of the infield off Dodgers reliever Ronald Belisario. Kendrick had runners at corners and Frandsen followed to complete the two-run triple.
Clayton Kershaw went scoreless in six innings, before the five runs in the seventh. Matt Kemp scored a solo home run for the Dodgers, who have now lost their fifth straight game.
