Tiger Woods will seek his first victory since returning to competitive golf on Thursday, during the beginning of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The tournament marks Woods’ third appearance since recovering from his knee surgery. During the Accenture Match Play Championship, Woods was eliminated in the second round. He finished tied for ninth at the CA Championship.

The Palmer tournament, which Woods has won five times, will be his last test before proceeding to the Masters.

Last year, the renowned athlete played a shortened season. He won a total of four tournaments in 2008, which pales in comparison to his 2009 season, when he won in more than 15 events.

The Palmer tournament will miss the top two players in the FedEx Cup points race—Geoff Ogilvy and Phil Mickelson.

Nick Watney, Kenny Perry, Retief Goosen, and Jim Furyk will compete in the tournament.
