Tiger Woods will make his much-anticipated return from injury to defend his Memorial Tournament title next week in Ohio.
Woods recently withdrew from the Players Championship with only seven holes remaining in the final round. He was bothered by a neck injury.
Although the 34-year-old says that he is not in his best condition yet, he still feels good about competing in the Memorial Tournament.
Last year, he won the tournament by one stroke.
“The doctors advised me to take a week off and rest, which I did,” Woods said about his rehabilitation regimen. “They prescribed physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medication and soft-tissue massages, which I'm continuing with.”
The tournament, which Woods has won four times already, will serve as a preparation ground for the US Open, which kicks off two weeks later at Pebble Beach.
