Rickie Fowler jumped up the rankings on Friday, earning a shared lead at the midway point of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Tiger Woods, who is playing in his first tourney in almost three months, failed to build on his promising opening round. Entering the weekend, the former World Number 1 is trailing 35 players.
Fowler, on the other hand, shares the lead with Adam Scott, Ryan Moore, and Keegan Bradley.
Top-ranked Luke Donald is trailing at 3-under after shooting a 69, while Phil Mickelson struggled to a 73.
Fowler’s rollercoaster round included eight birdies, an eagle, and four bogeys.
