Corey Pavin will be the captain of the United States when the team takes the field in Celtic Manor in Wales for the 2010 Ryder Cup.
Pavin is tasked to lead the team, which won the Ryder Cup in the 2008 edition of the league. In response to the delegation, Pavin said, “dream come true.” The football star is proud to follow the footsteps of Paul Azinger who led the US to a memorable victory again Europe.
Previously, Azinger was slotted to be the captain for the team. But, less than a week ago, the former-captain said that he will be sitting this one out—much to the delight of the 49-year old Pavin.
“I’ve been waiting for this day since I received the call last month, I'm very excited to be here,” the California native mentioned in a press conference in New York.
